to "Rise to the Challenge" as part of one of Durham's Signature Events!

All volunteers will receive a 2011 DOUGHMAN T-shirt and NEW THIS YEAR: If you volunteer for both the race AND the banquet, you will also receive a gift bag with some extra goodies! Volunteers will also receive a ticket in a raffle for a guaranteed entry into the DOUGHMAN 2012! So get your prospective 2012 team together and sign up to volunteer. You will each get a chance to win your team's spot in next year's race!

Volunteer for the Race

The DOUGHMAN needs energetic volunteers to help during the race on Saturday, May 28, from approximately 6:30am until 12pm. What specifically do we need?

• Set up for the race,
• Register and manage racers and spectators,
• Cheer on racers as they chow down on offerings from several of Durham's finest restaurants then are sent on their way through the streets of Downtown, and
• Clean up after the event.

Volunteer for the Banquet

We're also looking for volunteers to help us at the DOUGHMAN hEArTs Durham banquet Saturday evening, May 28, from approximately 4pm to 12am (midnight). Volunteers are needed for several tasks throughout the event, which can include:

• Taking tickets and checking IDs at the door,
• Managing parking,
• Encouraging recycling / composting during the event, and
• Cleaning up after the banquet.

We will also need volunteers to help with projects and set-up in the week leading up to the race. All volunteers will receive an official DOUGHMAN t-shirt! Please register by April 26th in order to be guaranteed the correct size shirt. If you have any questions, please email volunteer@doughman.org.
