The world's premier quadrathlon is back for a third time!

 The Third annual DOUGHMAN is set for May 29th.  The DOUGHMAN is part triathlon (bike, run, swim/water event), part competitive eating event.  The race will be a 4 person team relay with each member eating at a quintessential Durham eatery followed by an athletic portion (run, bike or water event).  All racers will have to do some running.


This year we are able to accomodate two non-meat eaters: two vegetarians or one vegan and one vegetarian per four person team.  Please note that your team's cyclist MUST eat pork and all non-vegans should assume they are eating cheese and eggs.  We cannot make any other food accomodations.

This is a team event and the registration cost is for all four team members, all food, and race shirts.  All teams must have four racers.  Waivers are required for all participants prior to the start of the race.  Please note that all teams must provide their own bike.  Many local bike shops rent bikes in the area.

No racers under the age of 18 are allowed.
 
This year we will be supporting 2 charities, the DIG program at SEEDS, and SeeSaw Studio! As always, 100% of the race proceeds will go to these charities.  We expect all of you to really step up your fund-raising efforts this year, so we're stepping up the benefits. Each team that raises at least $200 will be given a time bonus. Raising $200 as a team is really easy, each team member only has to ask 5 people for $10, therefore, we hope you'll raise more. The team that raises the most money for SEEDS and SeeSaw Studio will win the Grand Prize!

 


Please collect donations to bring to the start line.  You can donate directly to SEEDS and SeeSaw Studios via their websites.  Bring your receipts to the starting line so we can tally up your donations.  Donations not turned in at the start line won't count for your team's total.  Feel free to also collect checks (made out to either charity) or cash as well, we can accept your donations at the start line.

 

The $100 donation per 4-person team registration fee covers:

2. all race food
3. participant Shirts
4. participant goodie bags
